HayyHomes

Fair housing & data

A neutral information layer

HayyHomes provides factual, locational information — the distance from an address to nearby places of worship and schools — the same way a listing might note it is “near parks” or “in the Lincoln school district.” We support the letter and spirit of the Fair Housing Act. Concretely:

  • The lookup is open to every visitor — we never gate results by who you are.
  • We show the same results for any address, regardless of who submits it or who is selling the property.
  • We never hide, exclude, downrank, or recommend any dwelling, for anyone.
  • We are not a brokerage and do not steer buyers to or away from any property, neighborhood, or agent. Transactions happen on the platforms and with the professionals you already use, who carry their own fair-housing obligations.
  • Our language is factual and locational — distances and directions, never endorsements or exclusivity claims about who a home is “for.”

Where the data comes from

Mosque and school locations come from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed ODbL) refreshed weekly, plus community-submitted corrections that we review by hand. Geocoding uses the US Census Bureau geocoder and OSM's Nominatim. Location data can be incomplete or out of date — verify anything that matters before making a decision, and use the “suggest a correction” link on any page to help fix it.

What we don't do

  • We don't host, reproduce, or scrape listings from Zillow, Redfin, Realtor.com, Trulia, or any MLS — “browse homes” buttons simply link you out to their sites.
  • We don't sell your lookups or your shortlist. See Privacy.
  • We don't provide real-estate, legal, or financial advice, and distance estimates are just that — estimates.
